Child Suffers Serious Injuries After Being Struck By Vehicle

BROOKSVILLE, FL – A young girl suffered serious injuries this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Eskimo Curlew Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 11-year-old girl was walking northbound on Eskimo Curlew Road, north of Osprey Avenue, when she was struck by a 65-year-old woman driving a Toyota Corolla.

Sources say the child is a student at Winding Waters K8.
