Spring Hill Teen Charged in Fatal Hit-And-Run

SPRING HILL, FL – A Spring Hill teen is behind bars this evening after officials say he was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in the Glenn Lakes Golf and Country Club.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Cameron John Grosso was driving a BMW 528i southbound on Lenox Drive when he struck and killed a 68-year-old Brooklyn, New York man. Officials say instead of stopping at the scene of the crash, Grosso drove approximately one block south to Maybelle Drive.

After an investigation, Troopers arrested Grosso, charging him with leaving the scene of a fatal crash. Additionally, Grosso is charged with attaching an unassigned license plate to the vehicle.

Grosso was booked into the Hernando County Jail where he is currently held without bond.
