BROOKSVILLE, FL – Hernando County Government Officials are reporting the arrest of an unlicensed contractor who was conducting business on Hernando Beach.
According to reports, 40-year-old Brandon Robert Vicente was arrested at the Hernando County Courthouse Wednesday after officials say he was performing unlicensed electrical contracting in the Hernando Beach area.
Vicente is charged with four counts of unlicensed contracting and released on a $10,000 bond.
Vicente was also found guilty by the Hernando County Special Master of two civil counts of Unlicensed Contracting for which civil fines were imposed. This civil conviction was his second offense, as he previously pled guilty to a violation in 2023.
(Brooksville, FL) – The Hernando County Building Division - Contractors Licensing Section, along with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, and Economic Crimes Unit conducted joint civil and criminal investigations which resulted in civil convictions as well as a criminal arrest of a Brooksville resident, Brandon R. Vicente at the Hernando County Courthouse on December 11, 2024.
Officials urge residents to request proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance before signing contracts.
