Investigation Underway Into Fatal Small-Engine Plane Crash

UPDATE: December 6, 2024, 8:05 p.m. - An adult male occupant of the aircraft was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.  The FAA and NTSB are leading the Investigation.

HOMOSASSA, FL – The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is reporting the crash of a small-engine aircraft at the intersection of US-19 and Longfellow Street.

The crash occurred just after 8:00 p,m, this evening, and there are unconfirmed reports of at least one fatality.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, both directions of US-19 are now open.
