Woman Admits to Recording Sex Abuse with Her Own Child to Sell Online

BROOKSVILLE – The mother of a 23-month-old child is behind bars today after officials say she committed sexual acts on the toddler and tried to sell video of the abuse on social media.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, a tip led detectives to an address on Snow Memorial Highway in reference to possible child sex crimes.

Officials say 20-year-old Jenna Ann Hoffman was offered money by a "stranger" on social media to record videos of her sexually abusing her child. During an interview with detectives, Hoffman admitted to committing the acts and sending video to the "stranger" but says he did not pay her.

A search warrant was served on Hoffman's residence where evidence of the crime was discovered.

Hoffman was booked into the Hernando County Jail on charges of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, Promote Sexual Performance of a Child, Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Promote, and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. Hoffman is currently held on a $50,000 bond.
