Three Men Arrested on Human Trafficking, Lewd and Lascivious Charges

BROOKSVILLE – Three suspects could face decades behind bars on charges of Human Trafficking which sources say may have involved underage victims.

R News received a tip this afternoon regarding the arrests of Jarrod Alamo, 20, Jerry Berrios, 40, and Troy Hartman, 61. All three suspects were taken into custody over the weekend but there is no record of their arrests on the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Jail website. The suspects are, however, listed on a second inmate search portal located on the HCSO main website. It is unknown why the suspects are hidden from the real-time website.

R News requested a statement from HCSO regarding the charges, but they have not responded.

All three men are charged with Human Trafficking on Victims Under 18 or Mentally Disabled, Lewd and Lascivious, and Illegal Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. The Human Trafficking Charge is listed under a special statute that involves using coercion for commercial sexual activity (787.06(3)(b), F.S.).

According to court documents, each suspect received a $35,000 bond, however, it is not known if they have posted that bond.

R News will bring more on this story if HCSO provides a statement.
