Lecanto Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

HOMOSASSA – A single-vehicle motorcycle crash claimed the life of one person, Saturday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 41-year-old Lecanto man was traveling eastbound on CR-490 (W. Yulee Drive), when he failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a tree near South Palo Verde Point.

Officials say he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
