HERNANDO – Hernando County Fire Rescue has been extremely busy over the Memorial Day Weekend, with multiple structure fires, vehicle crashes, and assisting with rescues along the coastline.
Earlier this morning, a rollover crash in the parking lot of Harbor Freight on US-19 injured one person.
This afternoon a pickup truck caught fire that threatened a nearby residence. A small brush fire developed as a result but it was quickly extinguished by fire crews.
Yesterday, a structure fire destroyed a 40' x 40' barn on Richbarn Road while fire crews were still busy with a fire on Talisman Street.
No serious injuries have been reported by officials.

Any updates on the vehicle crash/rollover at Harbor Freight on Hwy 19? Was curious to know the details of that one. I frequent that area a lot. Still trying to figure out HOW outside of normal recklessness and stupidity...that they were going fast enough to even make it happen at that particular corner of the building. Smdh...
