Publix Super Market Recalls Meat from Spring Hill Store

SPRING HILL – If you purchased ground meat products from a local Publix Super Market, you might want to dispose of or return the product for a refund.

According to a statement, a voluntary recall has been issued for meat products sold at store 457 in Spring Hill, located at Lakewood Plaza on Commercial Way.

The recall is due to the potential of foreign material in the product. No other Publix locations are affected by the recall.

All meats purchased between February 14th and 15th should be considered.

"As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from the store shelves," said Maria Brous, Publix director of communications.
