Mortar Rounds Delivered to Sheriff's Office, Citrus Bomb Squad Responding

UPDATE 1:49 P.M.: The situation has been resolved and is all clear.

BROOKSVILLE - The front parking lot of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office (Main Office) has been cleared due to a citizen delivering two mortar rounds to the office for disposal, according to officials.

The Citrus County Bomb Squad is en route to investigate the suspicious item.

Sheriff Mylander Way and Cortez Blvd (50/50 West) are closed, according to officials.
