What Caused Two High-Tech Amazon Vans to Collide?

SPRING HILL – No injuries were reported but someone has some explaining to do after two electric Amazon delivery vans collided at the offramp at the Suncoast Expressway and Spring Hill Drive.

The accident occurred just after 11:00 am this morning, leaving both vehicles with significant damage.

The question is, how does an accident like this happen when Amazon vans are equipped with high-tech accident-avoidance features? Amazon's website provides the following statement about their vehicle's safety features: Safety-first design focused on superior 360-degree visibility, and vehicle features that protect drivers and pedestrians. A suite of innovative safety features, including sensor detection, a large windshield to enhance driver visibility, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and collision warnings.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
