Local Mechanic Charged with Downloading over 200 Images of Child Porn

BROOKSVILLE – The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is reporting the arrest of a Brooksville man, after investigators found hundreds of child sexual assault images on his electronic devices.

According to officials, probable cause was established to secure a search warrant at the residence of 29-year-old Ryan Hohman. Prior to serving the warrant, detectives observed Hohman driving on a suspended license and conducted a traffic stop. Hohman was placed under arrest on that charge and then interviewed regarding the child pornography, where he admitted to downloading over 200 images using his social media account.

Hohman is charged with 93 counts of possession of Child Pornography and is held on a $931,000 bond.

During a first appearance hearing on Wednesday, Hohman explained to Judge Barbara-Jo Bell that he used to work as a mechanic for BMW but just opened a private shop in Weeki Wachee.
