Carjacking Suspect Steals Car with Child Inside

SPRING HILL – A carjacking suspect is in custody after a brief pursuit on Cortez Blvd.

Just moments ago, 911 received reports of a carjacking, where the victim claimed her 3-year-old boy was still in the car.

According to sources, deputies soon spotted the vehicle, a dark blue Toyota Corolla, in the area of Cortez Blvd, heading westbound. Deputies began pursuing the vehicle at a high rate of speed, but they were ordered to stop pursuing by their command. Deputies fell back and followed the vehicle until it reached the 6000 block of Shoal Line Blvd, where they were able to block the roadway.

Fire Rescue is on scene to evaluate the child, but sources say the child was not injured.

There are unconfirmed reports that the suspect is 41-year-old Breanne Lucey. She was taken into custody at the scene without incident. Lucey has been arrested over 25 times for various crimes, but most of those for Trespassing.
