Witness Chases Hit and Run Suspect until Deputies Arrive on Scene

SPRING HILL – Hernando County Sheriff's Deputies are currently investigating a double hit and run crash in Spring Hill.

A witness tells R News that the driver of a dark colored Hyundai Sonata struck two vehicles on Henderson Street and then fled the area while driving on three wheels. The witness, who wished to remain anonymous, says she followed the suspect until the vehicle became disabled at Meredith Drive and Gibraltar Street. Deputies arrived moments later and began their investigation.

The driver has been taken into custody but the exact charges are unknown at this time.

There are no injuries reported.
