SPRING HILL – Detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office have charged a Spring Hill man with raping an underage victim. According to the Hernando County Detention Center website, 51-year-old Husam Abdul Latif Shawkat is charged with Sexual Assault and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior against a minor between the ages of 13 and 15 years of age.
